Nem feltétlenül kell küzdenünk a rendhagyó igékkel...
A magolás helyett (mellett?) léteznek kellemesebb módszerek, melyek segítik a múlt idejű alakok memorizálását.

It ______ (be) the summer of '69
Me and some guys from school
_______ (have) a band and we _______ (try) real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody _______ (get) married
I shoulda known we'd never get far
Oh when I look back now
That summer _______ (seem) to last forever
And if I _______ (have) the choice
Ya - I'd always wanna be there
Those _______ (be) the best days of my life
Ain't no use in complainin'
When you _______ (get) a job to do
________ (spend) my evenin's down at the drive-in
And that's when I _______ (meet) you yeah
Standin' on your mama's porch
You ________ (tell) me that you'd wait forever
Oh and when you _______ (hold) my hand
I ________ (know) that it _______ (be) now or never
Those _______ (be) the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69
Man we were killin' time
We _______ (be) young and restless
We ________ (need) to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever, forever, no
And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six-string
I think about you, wonder what ________ (go) wrong
Standin' on your mama's porch
You _______ (tell) me it would last forever
Oh and when you _______ (hold) my hand
I ________ (know) that it _______ (be) now or never
Those ________ (be) the best days of my life
Back in the summer of '69
